Prepping my car for paint. I have some dents and some spots on the body that have been down to bare metal, probably for years and thus rusted or even pitted. What are my options for stabilizing this rust before bondo?
I've done some research online but was overwhelmed by the number of products.

I used something called OSPHO. Kinda like a corrosion converter. Turned iron oxide,(rust) into iron phosphate. Got it a an Ace Hardware. Recommended by someone who painted jets for a living, now a tech rep where I work. Here's the link for you to check out.

X2 for Ospho. Spray it on, let it dry, wire wheel the white stuff off then repeat the process until shiny

Ospho again but with a warning.
don't do it until your ready to seal the metal up.
I did a 50 Plymouth suburban and made the mistake of letting it set a couple months before I got back to it. the shiny new metal corroded faster than the ancient surface rust that was already there would have.
