I am looking at buying a 1970 Dart Swinger.
The car looks to be in good shape except for the vinyl top. There is a pretty good line of rust just above the windshield on the drivers side about 5 inches long. I'm guessing there is more rust under the vinyl top.
I don't see any replacement metal for the Dart roof.
Is this a huge problem to repair?
I've done quarter panels before, but I'm not sure how to tackle this roof, especially if there are no replacement parts.
Is this a go to the junk yard and see if I can saw off the front section of a 1970 roof and then weld it in. I'm guessing this rust is going to be into the channel where the windshield goes. Just guessing.
What are your thoughts?
