Anybody using the scarebird disc conv.on a big block car? or are those 9" spindles going to be to weak?I'm just looking for an economical way to put disc brakes on my Valiant.

I've heard that concern before when i was shopping for a good deal on a brake kit for my old Dart. I went ahead and bought the kit anyways after it was obvious that nobody voicing those concerns had ever heard of the smaller spindle failing. Not saying that its never happened, but....

I did a early conversion (about 4-5 years ago) using Scarebird on my cuda and it has worked flawlessly from day one. I heard that they improved their choice of calipers and discs since then and they work even better now

Thanks for the info guys i am going to look into this setup a little closer.

I have them on my BB Barracuda. I haven't driven the car much, but I can't see a problem with them. You can ignore about half of the comments you'll get about the scarebird setup. Most of the people with negative comments don't have the setup.

For the guys with the kit, any of you run the 15x 3.5 skinny centerlines up front on them.

I've tried for two years to get an answer and the only thing I ever see is buy the kit and let us know.
