Anyone have used the Schumacher Creative Services big block swap kit? I have bought their ceramic coated Tri-Y headers, their conversion motor mounts and torque strap. I had to notch the k-member for the oil pump clearance. I had to grind some material off of the power steering gearbox. They said that the Mopar Performance aluminum valve covers are too tall and will interfere with the heater/AC blower motor. Has anyone seen this and do you know of another option rather than using stock valve covers. Mr Schumacher told me of one guy notching the valve cover and then welding it back on after flipping it around. He also told me a someone who found a GM blower that was shorter and smaller that would provide more clearance.:prayer:

I'm using the Schumacher setup in my B-motor Demon with the Tri-y's etc. I'm also using the fabricated aluminum valve covers from 440source.com as they don't leak like the MP's do, and I can take the V/C off without messing with anything.

I just used moroso chrome valve covers. They are built like they were made for big block a-bodies

Thanks for the info but if your running a "B" instead of a "RB" isn't the deck height lower? I was considering the 440 source valve covers but will probably mock up some stock ones to see how they work.

Do you have any pictures of your engine compartment for comparision. Do the Moroso valve covers say Moroso on the top of them?

I'm at work so I can't get any pics for ya right now. I ran a 440 in a 64 valiant and a 72 demon with the moroso valve covers and they cleared the blower motor and master cyl. Great in both cars. Yes they say moroso on them. I would have preceded they didn't but they fit and were the cheapest and easiest fix at the time.

FYI - There's a good thread on bigblockdart.com how someone recessed the blower motor into the heater box and has lots of room even for MP valve covers.

Thanks I will check there also, I am new at this but have a sign on there also. I posted yesterday but had very few responses.:read2:
