Would like information if any one can tell me. We're any 1972 Demons equipped with a spoiler, or twin hood scoops from the factory. If so we're any hood scoops functional in any fashion other than cosmetic.

Hood scoop, yes. But not the dual scoops, in '72 it was the "snorkel" style scoop. And yes, it was functional, sort of. There were two 4 1/8" holes in the hood for it, but nothing was tied into the air cleaner. So cold air induction into the engine compartment, not specifically the air cleaner.

The go-wing was the only factory spoiler, and I don't think it was an option for the Demon or Duster in '72, pretty sure that '71 was the last year it was offered as a factory option. Now, could a very early '72 Demon gotten one? Probably. And could they have been added at the dealer? Yup. So, I don't think it was technically a factory option for '72, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have come from the dealer with one.

Here's a picture of a '72 hood with the scoop from the bottom...

from the outside- you can see this car has a go-wing added as well...

One thing that made me ask about the scoops is the partial circle in the hood support frame to the front and outside of the holes In your pic. If that is what they are for , the width would be approximately correct for the dual scoops.

man that car has every thing you could ever want in a a body.the stance, the paint, the tires,it has it all. if that is 72blu car you sir have one fine looking car

Don't mention the tires in the "everything you could ever want" category when talking to Brian (72blu) ;) lol

As far as the hood, the 2 partial circles are indeed for the twin scoops but those hoods were also used on the darts and wouldn't've made sense to make the same hood with 2 different style bracing.... Want an even more obvious/ridiculous example of that? Look up the John Deere 8335R and the 8335RT.... Notice how they use the hood with the massive clearanced spot for the front duels on the Tracked tractors as well?? Looks rediculous once you notice it.

I made this to work with the twin scoop, it worked good! Both the 70/71 and snorkel 72 were never fully engineered to work as a true ram air system. It's for sale you can see more pics in the for sale section

Yup, the partial cut outs are for the dual scoops. Ma mopar didn't change the tooling on the assembly line, just didn't offer the dual scoops as an option because the new snorkel scoop replaced them.

Here's how the holes are placed for the dual scoop hoods...

Not my car, just borrowed from the internet to show the snorkel hood.

Personally I'm a fan of the dual scoops. And a much lower stance, and much wider tires :D

Would like to know what size wheels and tires you have on your orange demon?

No clue. Like I said, not my car. Just pulled it off the 'net to show the scoop because I don't have anything with a snorkel.
