To go along with my question about an a/c/heater kit, I found a couple with and electric compressor, called a scroll compressor. Thoughts, good/bad? TIA.

I'm not "familiar" with them, BUT we use a large one at work to clean/air scour some of the filters. And it works great.

Scroll compressors have been used for years now in Commercial and Residential HVAC applications, and they've proven to be quite reliable and efficient.
With the exception of choosing one brand over another (if you have that luxury), I wouldn't hesitate a second on this!
