Anyone remember these? Cant find any info on them, when they were made etc. My receipt shows a purchase date of 1993. Any info on these pistons is appreciated. Thanks.

The guy who built the car saved everything. The receipt is from Seaport Racing engines in Toledo Ohio. .040 over Sealed pro pistons were $112.00 in 1993. I think they must have stopped making them long ago. Time to pull the heads I guess.

Yes, that looks like an old PN but not sure if it is direct interchange to the standard pistons. Get a pix and measure down from the deck. If they are the equivalent to the current Sealed Power 405's, then at TDC, the upper edge over the pin will be about .110" below an unmilled LA deck. (CH = 1.576")

I no longer have my old sealed power cat. but that is a cast stock replacement, so comp. distance is 1.580"

Thats the number I was curious about. Thank you Marco and NM9. Any guesses how far in the hole? Block is factory height, was never decked.

Yes the upper edge should be around .110" in the hole for a stock cast piston with 1.576" CH. Let us know what you find!

Uh, less compression than I thought, thats what I will find! lol With 2.02 j heads its not what I thought, even though it runs very well. It has a comp xe268 cam, RPM intake and stock exhaust manifolds.

Well, you might have the receipt... but what is actually in there? Maybe a camera would help.

Any idea if the heads were milled???

According to the machine shop paper work just line hone, 40 over bore, and crank machining. Nothing about the decks. Doesnt look like blueprinting was in the cards, just a street rebuild.
