I am redoing the tracks for the bucket seat I am putting in my Dart and want to replace the studs that go through the floor. I have removed two broken studs and they look like I could replace them with 1/4 carriage bolts. I tried using a bolt from another set of tracks I have and it looks like I will have to weld them in to insure that they stay put. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have some bolts that bolt the track to the seat itself but i don't have the ones that go through the floor. Carriage bolts would be OK and tack weld them just be sure to get at least a grade 5 bolt most carriage hardware store bolts are not graded and could break easily

If you use 5/16 carriage bolts you may need to grind down the head diameter. You can use a sharp cold chisel to create a stake at each of the 4 corners so it stays put. I dont know if that will be easy on a grade 8 though.
