I'm trying to install the door glass into the door and wonder if anyone knows the correct procedure ('68 Valiant). Right now I have dropped the glass and regulator into the door but not bolted it in. I then thread the vent window assembly in. However, if I fully install the vent window I can't get the main glass into the channels. If I try to slide the vent window over the corner of the main glass into position it won't go. Anybody done this? I wish I had a manual.

I don't know you feel at this point but it would be worth investing in a 68 maintenance manual. I have had mine for about 10 years on my 67 Dart and has saved my rear many times.

Does it say how to install sedan door glass?

i just did this, the glass goes in the rear track and you have to put the vent window in at the same time as feeding the glass into the track. its not easy to line up at first. i rolled the glass up n down till it was in the right spot. i know people who have broken the glass trying to get it right. i had to stop and take a breather a couple times to get it right but it actually goes in without too much fight. good luck

One side done...install glass and regulator in door and leave it sit in the bottom (don't put regulator in position), let it lean towards the inside of the door so you can get the vent window in and into its installed position, undo the angle bracket that holds the bottom of the rear vertical track, tilt the vent window back, make sure the back of the window is in the track and get the front corner of the window into the vent track (grab vent window with one hand and bottom of glass with the other to do this), tilt the vent window back into its installed position, lift the glass and regulator up and put a block under it to hold it in position, bolt the regulator up, install window seals, bolt in vent window.
