My 71 duster a body was born with a 3 speed stick and a340, some where somebody transplanted a 67 833 with a inland shifter which is junk can somebody tell me what shifter & linkage will work ?

Hurst competition plus. OEM or aftermarket and linkage are a huge improvement. I like the 64-65 Barracuda, Valiant and Dart the best of the OEM's. Have to agree with your assessment of the Inland shifter.
