Shocks

Thanks. I don’t know why, but I thought someone said C-body shocks were what they were running with those springs. Didn’t know if the 3400 vs the 2800 had a longer travel rate

C bodies are recommended because they are longer. Make sure the shock you chose has enough travel. Last thing you want is to use to short of shock.

You don't want them to bottom out on the up stroke, as is getting longer when you launch.
Not a fan of KYB for a drag car. Comp Eng have some nice 3 way adjustables.
Calvert also

This is roller weight, no shocks.

Chrysler used to recommend the Imperial shocks for the s/s springs =========

We have had a couple of members through here go with the Viking double adjustables. Viking offers two types of valving Drag Light (less than 600hp) and drag heavy (more than 600 hp). Please let me know if you are interested and I can get you in touch with one of the engineers at Viking to go over specs.

Thanks

I run Viking shocks. But I don't have SS springs. I don't think the Viking shock has enough stroke to use with SS springs.

If I were the OP I'd sell the SS springs, get a good Traction bar (like the Asassin bars) a Calvert mono spring and spend the money for Viking shocks on all 4 corners.

That's just me though.

Viking can offer a shock based of the extended and collapses specs you require with the valving you require. If of interest I can get you in touch with an engineer at Viking to discuss the options. Plus you would be eligible for the Mopar forum discount.

This is the first time I’m building this car. I want the SS springs for now. Like every other car, I’m sure it will find it’s own way home. It will tell me what it likes. Or someone else someday
