Am attempting a "correct" restoration on a 1968 Barracuda fastback. The subject of my bumper jack came up. On mine , the center shaft is triangular with a built-in hook in the mechanism and no separate pieces. Here comes the questions- Should the shaft be triangular or square-ish as seen on other cars? Was this due to vender availability? Is the built-in "hook", with hole in the middle, enough to really grab the bumper and lift the car, or is there a piece missing? Any help on this matter will set my mind at ease, Thanks.Murray.
