So I pulled into the home depot parking lot to grab some spring clamps for a project. There's a truck with the passenger door ajar, no plates, black 0% tint windows that looks exactly like the trucks you see on youtube pulling catalytic converters. I sit there a minute and a guy pops out eyeballing my truck, blows his nose onto the ground and hops back into his truck. There's a car near me with a dude working underneath the engine doing who knows what. Every other truck there looks like it just got driven from the junkyard and can't find a place to park, except there's plenty of spots.
Felt like buzzards circling a carcass.
I drove home and said f that. Guess I'll go back on a weekday

Welcome to “The New America”. Don’t even think about going to Lowes at Delta Park in Portland. They have armed private security walking around the store and in the parking lot thinking their cops, these pricks have 9mm and bullet proof vest in all black like the special forces. But these Mofos look just as bad a the dirt bags that are stealing from the store.. Telling me it’s ok for these guys to have guns cus someone is stealing something…

Minimal guns up here(thankfully) but at one of our Canadian Tires they have a "normal" employee that is whacked and carried a set of handcuffs and other "paraphernalia " hooked onto his belt...that is holding up cargo shorts fn wannabe. I'm tempted to "pocket " a fishing lure just for the experience.

Ha. There is no trouble if I'm missing that. As to the HD parking lot, it's HD that tolerates this crap. Ours is an outdoor swap meet with fruit vendors out the back of their trucks, coconut drink and corn on a stick vendors, and of course the cordoned off corner where there are water fountains, benches and about 300 empty beer bottles...wth? Convertor theft is real. Go get your cars and trucks plated at your local muffler shops or do it yourself. If the perp cannot see your convertor. They won't spend time trying to cut the armor off.
