Im going to have to pull the 225 out of my girls 72 scamp so I can drill the hole for the dipstick (truck motor :angry4: ) We have the offy intake, clifford headers. and a eddy 500 cfm carb. It is a bone stock, low mile, late model 225 in what will be a daily driver with a 904, 8 1/4 2.7something rear.
I figured while it's out I will throw a cam in it and maybe get the head milled. What would be a good cam for this motor, something that will be good and driveable with a stock eddy 500, and if I was to get the head milled how much should I have taken off?

Also, anyone have the specs for drilling the dipstick tube hole?

I ran the Comp 252S in my slant with 0.060" milled off the head, the offy, 390 Holley and headers. Ran real well for a slant with this combo.
