I have a '65 Valient w/ a 225 CID engine. It sports a 1 barrel Carter Carb. Here is my problem. There is a small plastic (or hard rubber) grommet near the bottom of the carb toward the firewall in which the accelarator rod fits. Kicking down the accelaarator causes the carb to open up. The carb is working great but this piece is just flat worn out. The rod slipped out of the grommet at a busy intersection (Murphey's Law!!) which brought my immediate attention to it since the car stopped cold. I slipped the rod back into the grommet and hobbled home. At this point, I can't find this part. Can anyone out there help me??
