So I recently, as in yesterday, swapped everything to the super six set up with Carter BBD. on my 66 dart, slant of course. Now I have the 1970's Carter manuals, but nothing seems to indicate specific RPM settings for the different notches. So what should the initial idle be when I start it up cold? I notice that it is currently about 1100rpm at first start, but slowly raises upto 1400rpm if I dont give it a bump to drop it down to normal idle which is at about 750.

And for the mixture screw, do I want to screw it in until I hear it start bogging down? then back it off just a bit? thanks guys.

It's good to set the idle so the alternator doesn't discharge when the lights are on idling in gear at a stop light...
