Slant 6 Oil leak problems

I've developed an oil leak recently. After I've parked it, there's always a few drops of oil on the ground. Around the valve cover/valve cover gasket seems dry. Judging from opening the hood to see, it seems to be around where the transmission and engine join together. Anything in particular I should look for? The oil drain plug is nice and tight.

You're just going to have to do some investigative diagnosis.

Jack the car up, crawl under and look for a drop forming. If there is oil residue on the bottom of the bell housing or trans pan, look for the most forward area of the residue as being the source of the leak. Maybe remove the flywheel access cover to look for an oil leak path.
