I have a 74 duster. I want something different so i would like to rebuild the slant 6 and make it fast... Is it possible to pull 13 sec quarter miles with a slant 6 and still have it be streetable. If so are there kits or what would you recommend? Thanks

It is possible. Seymore's car is in that range, and he drives it to the track.

It doesn't come in a box though. You'll need to do some research, and nail down a budget.

13 seconds isn't going to be a run of the mill $2500 rebuild. Your going to part with some serious coin. The car will need to be lightened up as well.

Go to slantsix.org and start reading in the articles section. After you've finished reading, go to the forum and use the search.

After you've exhausted that, get a user name and post your questions! :-D

That Duster is HEAVY. Unless you use a power adder you will probally not get it that low. You can get into the 14's ok without the bottle. If you are serious shoot me a PM and we can discuss a build. You can get a slant into the 13's for a lot less than you think
Frank.
