Anyone have some pics of Non Stock Throttle Linkage setups w and w/o automatic kickdown linkage ? Trying to get some ideas of how I want to do mine !! Still debating on whether or not to go with the full reverse manual shift or not !! Any pics would be greatly appreciated !! I really want a clean look to go with BLING !!!

Hello Friend!
Here is my linkage I ran on my hyper pak. You can see a small plate I made to hold an early 63-65 kickdown bell crank turned sidewise. The cable from the pedal connected here and there is a small dia rod with 2 small rod end bearings to the carb. Barrels on carb have to face the head. Get the idea?

Hey Stan, thanks for the response !! I've played with the carb trying to turn it like yours is,but the carb bolt pattern doesn't line up so I'm thinking I'm just going to have to keep it the traditional way !!

Clifford makes different carb mounting plates that will work on their intake, offy also.
I also think the plate is available from Edelbrock. Not sure what intake you are using.

I installed a Bouchillon kick-down cable and their accelerator cable mounting bracket on my modified slant. It fits, and works with about any combination of carburetor, throttle cable, and their kick down cable.

That looks pretty nice, and reasonably priced too !! Anyone else have anything different ??

Here is mine - it's not very good but it works for getting it running- I modified the stock 1bbl bracket and bolted it to the bottom of the Offenhouser intake- not pictured is the Lokar kick down cable- if you're hesitating on buying it- don't these are hands down the best thing you could do to your engine.. there is no slop and it's completely tunable

Sorry no pictures but I too have used the Bouchillon set up and was very easy to install and adjust your shift points(Offy intake). Use a V8 throttle cable as it is much shorter than the 6 for a cleaner look. If using Lokar set up lube the threaded parts to keep from galling.

Nothing a fine grinding and paint could not fix, But this is what it is till I get in a shop at a friends house and detail it in, it has been flawless for over 10.000 miles, Yea I know!!
Why have I not dun it yet. I guess I drive her to much and depend on here to get me to town and back when needed
