slant 6 to SB throttle-how to do?

Hi folks,

small tech question:

65 Valiant ex slant 6 4 speed car. Now gets a 360 with a quick fuel carb.
Can i use my stock gas pedal with its linkage and what about the old style slant 6 carb linkage!?

Who knows what to use and where to get the parts!?

Besides resto parts, which IMO, cost to danm much, Lokar (or equal) cable kits wrok well and are easy to instal, adjustable and customizable. The below link show's a stock carb and home made bracket, this you will not need.

If you have the twist linkage setup(like a '64 automatic slant does), the easiest way to convert is to buy the cable pedal setup from a v8 and bolt it in. You may need the firewall plate as well. Does it have the pushrod or the twist linkage?

I went with a 72 duster gas peddle/throttle cable,then a AED throttle bracket.This is in my 66 Dart with 410 sb,made things alot easier.

Try find early V8 throttle pedal, that would be easiest. You need to drill bolt and cable holes to firewall, they are already located there.
