slant cams

A decent price is very subjective......You have several possibilities to choose from

1. get your current cam reground at Bullet Cams, quite possibly the most economical
2. Hughes engines
3. Crane Cams, custom order, custom ground
4. Comp Cams

Mopar Performance used to sell slant cams

Take your pick

It's easy to over cam a slant

Oregon Camshafts (custom regrinds) is an inexpensive option as well. I have gotten a few from them.

where cam i find a nice thumper camshaft for my slant six at a decent price?

I went Oregon cam. here are some of the spec's for the cams I was interested in.

These are three of our most popular grinds for the S/6. The first one works best in a stock or slightly modified engine as does the second one with a little more idle sound. The third one works best in a engine that has been modified for street use with more compression, larger valves, cylinder head work, etc. I would suggest the second cam but make it with 114 degree lobe separation for the turbo charger which will also give you a little better idle. We can regrind your cam cores for $75 each and we have new lifters for $4.50 each.

total cost for me on the #819 with 114 lobe separation and lifters was. $191.20 shipped from them and $27.00 to them
I did go larger valves and hardened seats, new springs and guides on the head and could have went with the #1416I for NA engine, but I want a low boost turbo setup.
