i have a 225 with Clifford 4 bbl intake on. That intake has an open plenum. On that intake I have an aluminum adapter that is a 4 hole pattern. On top I’m running an edelbrock 1801 avs thunder series .im trying to stop that heat soak and wanted to know if anyone knows what edelbrock heat insulating gasket to use ? Not sure what gasket/adapter kit to use

take a close look at your fuel line
it tends to be ran over the exhaust side of the engine, heating up the fuel before it even makes it to the carb

if you can rerun that, perhaps that will fix your problem

Go to the local auto parts store and ask for a carb gasket for a '70 Chevelle with a 454 and Holley carb. What you will get is a 1\4" thick 4 hole gasket that will work perfectly.
