One of these days I'm gonna figure out how to do it. I always wondered why my parents werealways up so early when I was younger and could remember stuff. I now understand it was from us kids conditioning them to wake up so damn early

I here ya on the sleep in thing, our kids are all adults now, even now we cant sleep in our cat Mopar start crying to get us up at 8:30.

My wife and I have a 7 year old together, so my typical day starts with me getting up at 7:30 to get him up and ready for school. Last night, Friday night, he stayed over at my wife's mom's place. Figured I'd be able to sleep in since he won't be here. NOPE! I've been up since 7:30. This sucks!

Just wait a few years and ater they get to be teenagers you won't be able to get them out of bed with a cattle prod. They will be keeping you up at night coming and going in the wee hours, playing music and video games until the sun comes up and sleeping all morning after that.

wow!! I'm just the opposite! Weekends, I'm up usually by 6 am, it is the best time-- no outside noise!! No sirens going down the street-- Lawrence

You too? I get up for work at about 6am and feed the cat. Today at 7:30 I hear this cat scream in the bedroom.

"Little" was an hour and a half late for breakfast....... And as you can see, "Little" never misses breakfast.

We the best way to sleep in is to put locks on the outside of their door and locks on the inside of yours! We have never really had a problem with it. Both our 6 and 16 year olds sleep in until you wake them up.
