If memory serves me right, that's not the bolt with the hole in it. Looking from the front of the engine, I believe it's the upper left bolt that has the hole.

Never saw a 340 with a drip plate. The drip plate came later. Every 340 and HP 360 I saw had the bolt with the hole through the center. My time line was only through the mid 70's. Too busy doing other things after that.

Sorry, but I searched, and have a couple of the bolts, but neither has the hole in it. I know some people drill a 1/8" hole through a regular bolt. Anyway, GLWYS.
