Small Block Head Flow Chart

Does anyone have flow numbers on OOTB EQ 1.92/1.60 Heads? I see post #7 has the 2.02 intake valves.

Edit: 1.92 intake

I just had a ootb TF190 head on the flow bench.
My numbers are very close to the advertised numbers on the intake side.
My exhaust numbers are lower, but their test used an 1-7/8” flow tube, I used no tube.

Tested at 28”, 4.00” bore:
Lift——I/E
.100– 66.7/51.6
.200–133.2/109.8
.300–200.8/154.9
.400–251.3/184.7
.500–281.2/198.1
.550–289.8/200.5
.600–295.4/201.7
.650–293.5/203.0
.700–292.4/203.7

Intake flow starts to sound a little raspy from .600 and up, and loses a few cfm.
Exhaust port is pretty quiet and steady.

Looking at the port in person, I wouldn’t have really expected it to get that close to 300.

anything obvious you saw to make the head better?

Don't want to step on his toes but looking at the head closely and seeing his numbers backing up I'm betting the short-turn needs widened for some more area. Tubing the head bolt hole and reshaping would get you some cfm.

Because @yellow rose asked...

My (Long Stalled) W5 project. Ti 2.08/1.60 valves.
Heads ported by Brett Miller (Thank you) flower on a 4.125 bore.
Re flow checked by ElSasser Racing Engines on a 4.03 bore. (Which is closer to what I’ll actually have unless Santa Clause drops off a Ritter or MP race block.)

Brett took them until one of the ports gave up the ghost and broke through. Epoxy was used in 1 port. No sense in going any more forward.

Looking to use my Ultradyne NF64/ F69 SFT in a stroker.

WOW
Mongo like !!!

Buddy who i have mentioned before has a trickflow stroker.
Pretty cookie cutter bracket deal.
3100 ish pound A body, single plane, good flat tappet cam, yada, yada.
Had it out in pretty lousy air and went 10.50’s at 125 ish… very little tuning, doesn't get the car out much.
Fast forward to last week, took the trick flow heads off, swapped on a set of airwolf heads most of you are probably familiar with( btw, they are more like 210 than 225)zero other changes
Anyhow, car ran 128 with the airwolfs at similar ET to the trick flows..couldn't get the car to 60 foot decently.
Both outings were in similar 3500 ish foot air.
3 mph is a bunch…….thought it was a good comparison.. wish that Dr J cat hadn't flaked out on everybody. His heads make good power

I tried finding some Wolf heads those are unicorns I guess !!!

he sold quite a few sets before he flaked out.
Maybe one day I will find a set # Im in the south but next year going to hit the Big Mopar Event maybe I will find some there u never know what the private sellers have .

He had a short carear porting nationality. IIRC, IF your local to him, porting by him is possible. The sudden impact of being in a national mag and I’ll equipped to do offing work at a national level is what pushed him out.
To much work.

Thank u
What state is he in ?

His location will not help you in any way since he refuses workout of state. Other members here have tried.

I found the old article
220 LA head flowed 320
Offered in CNC form only in alum
That must be the baddest smallblock head ever divised not running off-set rockers etc !

I’ve gotten 318 on my bench without moving the pushrod. His was out of a set of ProComp, Speedmaster heads which he claims filled the bottom of the port removing the danger of hitting water. He claims Edelbrock wouldn’t do it. My heads were under the 220 cc intake port size and done by hand. 50 cc is a lot of material to take out of a port any other way than by cnc porting.my ports were so touchy every single port was on my flowbench multiple times to get them calmed down. A buddy of mine is building a customer engine with a set of Doctor J heads and he also has a new set of TrickFlow heads he bought for his sons car. He wants to bring both sets over to do some testing on my bench. If I ever get to feeling better that sounds like a fun day.
