Small block valve spring limits

How much lift can stock 360 head valve springs take. I have a 509 purple
cam that I want to run on my stock heads till I can get enough cashola
to buy some of those new RHS heads for my 360 LA engine. If they wont handle
it, what are decent springs to run that are not too expensive.

they will not handle it.

mopar's '847' spring works great, I've used'em with a .509 and solid .528 cams

If your engine has the exh valve rotators instead of the same retainers the intake valves have, replace them with std spring retainers when you swap them. Otherwise you will have problems.
