Small Bolt Pattern Mags

Just picked up a 1968 Valiant and I want to get rid of the rallyes and get some small bolt pattern Mags. Not looking for gigantic tires but the car currently has 195/70s on it and I obviously want to go bigger. Can I go 225/70 and still fit underneath? Its been upgraded to a four piston manual disc brake setup from master power brakes.

You should first get answers about the fit and then start a separate wanted thread for the wheels . I edited yout title and your first post. That should get you the answers you need.

A 225 70 is too tall for the front, I believe.

my duster with SBP ralleye's, the biggest tire that will fit w/o cutting the lower front edge of the fender is a 205/70R14, which is 25.3" tall. more backpace could probably get a taller tire, something more like 26" tall. in back I am running 225/60R14's, about the widest I'd want to put on those 5.5" wide rims with the valiant's rear fenders compared to the duster, might be tough to go much wider....
