Is there a Aftermarket Source for a Charger/ Commando, type of, air cleaner lid ?

That type of housing was also used on the slant 6 with a different base plate (of course), but was semi-gloss black instead of chrome. If you can find one in decent shape, it may be cheaper to just have it chromed instead of paying crazy prices for a beat up original.

As far as an aftermarket chrome air cleaner goes, the closest I have found is this one:

The overall dimensions are the same as the Commando/Charger unit, but the top is a bit different.
 
I have an original Commando/Charger 273 with either the AFB or later larger throat base plate. PM me if inteeested

Hundred bucks through a local custom household fixture supply shop, but a 6-8 week lead time.
Not show chrome, but as good as the factory jobs.
A good powder coater or ceramic coater can come real close (but not quite chrome like) for less.
