anyone have adapters for the small to big bolt pattern for my 67 barracuda also any information on installing the passenger rear quarter window just bought the car some kid shot the window out from the guy i bought it from and i have a replacement for just don know how to install it. thanks

...that is one good question.

Everyone states that wheel adapters are a no-no but Chrysler sold them (I almost bought a set) plus a bunch of companies on the internet advertise billet aluminum ones.

If they don't work, why are so many companies selling them ?
And if you have a set of rims not in the current bolt pattern rim, would this be a inexpensive fix especially is they are not 5 * 4 or 5 * 4 1/2.

I have heard stories of failure but when I looked on the internet to find any problems on the internet and when I have, it was an IO error, not the adapters.

Is this just a problem years ago and not today ?

I assume you wouldn't use them on race, or highly modded cars..

If anyone has some info, please post.

You can get the billet adapters from Summit. TransDapt also makes an adapter that isn't as thick as the billet ones.

I've had the quarter glasses out and back in before but I can't instruct you how to. The inner panel has to come off. Cover all the sharp metal edges with duct tape ( saves your hands ). They are a nightmare to adjust so they'll meet the door glass corretly. Then if you restore the door hindges and the door alignment changes, you'll go back at the quarter glass again. :(
The vert quarter glasses are soooo much easier to get in and out. Regulater too for that matter.
I'm currenlly running 4 adapters on my 67. The problems in the history of adapters is where the balancing weights on the drums interfeared with the adapters. The adapter needs to meet perfectly flat against the drum. Plainly stated in the instructions.
I had to grind a little of the weights away on 2 of my drums but I can't recall was it fronts or rears.

I know a guy that probably still has a set of adapters, but i talked him into removing them and getting the right set of wheels

If you want the BBP then switch it over so it is safe
