Yo...Nice ride. The only problem I have ever had with my SRX was the cable pulled through the power valve gate. One of my friends is a welder he welded it up and installed roll pins. Problem solved. Have an XT 700 mono head it’s got 38000 KMS. on it skid bearings, belts, carbides, sliders is about all I’ve ever done to either of them. Gas goes here oil goes there pull the rope and ride
Think of all the cars trucks and vans that you have... How often do you get to drive those all at once...I sold mine 3 years ago, 2 sleds and trailer. I've missed them all 3 winters. Too busy, too many projects, snowmobiling was too short lived of the year so I sold 'em. Some day I'll get back on 'em.
Forgot I even posted that, and forgot this thread !! Digg'n up bones !!!! LOL. Drive "all at once" ?? You do have high expectations for me However, we do drive them all often We've already had snow, maybe sometime I'll get back into a snowmobile. Actually, I was looking at vintage Yamaha's. I have a thing for them. And I still have a tote of parts for them, and I believe I even have a performance pipe from AAEN performance for an old phaser.Think of all the cars trucks and vans that you have... Where we go you can't walk out... I would never write a snowmobile without having someone else there as well..One thing i learned about snowmobiling, "never ride any further than you care to walk back from"
In the old days, sleds seemed high maintenance. Different story in the past 30 years. My last sleds I owned about 6 years, rode each of them 3 years without even changing a spark plug or drive belt. Then we changed plugs "just for a PM". They were both used when we bought them. Maybe in the 6 years we "had" to replace a couple of idler wheels, but they won't leave you sitting. Had equal experiences with the sleds prior as well. I never really ever thought about break downs with the last several sleds I owned. One thing i learned about snowmobiling, "never ride any further than you care to walk back from"
