One could weld a smaller bolt ,like a 3/8 w/9/16 hex head on top of a bracket bolts 5/8head..and you could still slip a 5/8 wrench over the add on bolt no problem.
Then the chain can slip over and a nut and flat washer with a lock washer in between.
Then make a tab that goes under the nut for the biscuit mount on the bottom that comes out n up to hold the lower end of the chain.
