Well, dad asked me if I wanted the GN. My brother was really interested in it, and he asked my dad if he'd be stepping on my toes if he bought it. Dad told my brother that I'd probably be embarrassed to have it in my driveway. I told dad he was right. Glad it went to brother though, it is still in the family. Only had 29,000 miles on it. I remember when we bought it brand new. Car never saw any bad weather as it was stored most of its life. Pretty cool car I guess. Too bad it ain't a mopar. Well, I had to get it off my chest, I'm good now.

One of the few GM' s I like ... Probably the only post 72 GM I like.....

I was working at a Buick dealership back when those cars were new and drove a few. Too light in the back, was too easy to fishtail with it. It was fun to drive and felt fast but unless it was the rare high pro model--which nobody could drive expect for the master techs--it fool you thinking it was faster than it was.

Guess it still was much better than some of the Buick crap cars but if I had to have a Buick I get a 1970 GS

damn right. 87 was the best year. gm told buick to break the mold of the engine, since it beat the vette and they can't have that. in that time, a car that could break into the 12's by tuning? regardless of mopar or not, i would have taken it. those cars are bad ***. only thing badder was a GNX.

Yes, it was fast. I remember sneaking it out when mom and dad were on vacation. Took it up to the local hangout and challenged all 5.0's and IROC's. They thought it was just a watered down Monte Carlo SS. I handed all of them there asses and then showed them what had handed it to them. A V6. They could not understand. I would even give them a head start. However, my 68 Cuda will hand the Buick it's ***, as hopefully will my 69 Hemi Charger when it is complete. Still a cool car, even if it's a Generic Motors.

I'll admit to secreting lusting for one of Buick's turbo cars... one of the only non-Mo's I'd consider owning.

BUICK = Big Ugly Intercooled Corvette Killer

:)

I wished I had my Turbo Buicks back. :( I had an 87 GN that I bought from the original owner. It had 48k miles when I bought it. I loved the car so much, but was afraid to drive it anywhere so I bought an 86 WH1 T-type (1 of 463 built). Of course I ended up selling both of them :( to keep my wife in school. I will own another one some day but education comes before the toys.
