Ok heres heres the deal. Im looking for a some solid lifters for our small block. I want the completely solid type, no oil grooves in them but cant seem to find any anywhere..need help! and is it true that both small and big block chryslers run the same lifters? Let me know where I can find theses thanks

I can get a pic but it will be Christmas day before I can post it. I'll get the part number posted tomorrow. I believe their 8 years old.

I don't believe it's a good idea ever to run used lifters, except on the cam they came off of, and only then, on the specific lobes they were run on.

During break-in, and later too, Lifters and camshafts create a mutual "wear lpattern" on the face of the lifter and on the lobe of the cam that is a compatable configuration. Once the cam is broken in to that lifter, and that pattern established, they are then, a "Pair" or a "Matched set" and cannot be separated.

You can usually get away with running a brand new set of lifters on a used cam, but to just take a set of used lifters and put them on some other "used" cam is a no-no.

If you have a used cam, you need to hunt down the lifters that were used on it, and be sure the right lifter goes back on the lobe it was run on; all lobes will have a different wear pattern, and this is critical.

You can probably get away with running a brand new set of lifters on a used cam, but even that is "iffy." By breaking it in with weak springs, and using lots of ZDDP, you probably will be okay with this, but not with a set of lifters that were run on a different cam on your used camshaft.

Good luck with this, and don't spare the ZDDP, in any case...

That's just my 2-cents. Your mileage may vary...
