Entered my 1st car show this past weekend and had over 200 awesome rides show up. Going by what others have said about shows and the participants attitudes/ego it pretty much rang true and unfortunately two of the me me me jerks were Mopar owners but I won't disparage them publicly but they were both B Body guys and it wasn't the Dukes car. Also and I **** you not somebody left a little oil slick on the pavement under the front of my car.My car don't leak. That aside it was a really awesome day and the Ol' country boy with the Lil Red Express parked next to me in my cuda was the nicest guy you could ever meet on Earth and boy did he love that truck and even had hot wheels cars of it he was handing out to the kids. I try to take mine out cruising every weekend and was really shocked that I had not seen ONE of these 200 or so cars driving around as most of them listed a Denton address and I have lived here since 2000. The stories I heard all day about the fold down backseat of the Cuda had me thinking half the kids in the U.S. were conceived in there. Classes were kinda lame and I had to choose from:
1) 60's original
2) 60's modified
and
3) 60's mustang/camaro/ muscle car

I chose the 60's modified class and got beat out by the Hemi Roadrunner.
Sweet car, Owner ..............

Two rarities to me that I personally had never heard of were the Blue Challenger Western Special and the Dodge Coronet Texan.

Oh and lest I forget the very rare Batman edition Charger who should have won the what the hell were you thinking award but they didn't have one of them, and no never talked to him so he wasn't one of the two either,ya playing along here, hahaha.

I was also the only ABody out there which I found somewhat strange.
Good Times !!!

*** Had to break these show pics into two parts so there is another thread Part Two ***

That 57 is ...freaking sweet! It must of had 2 A/C units.

I read the bylines and they said the quads headlights were not approved yet so they put large parking lights inboard of the driving lights to simulate the up and coming 58 quad headlight look.

Actually had a few more of it and Yes it's an awesome car.

I had to try and keep my drool off of it which wasn't easy.

I stopped putting my car in shows around here as I found that they are mostly a tight little club and just pass awards amongst themselves.

Makes me wish I had made it. I entered and paid, but when I got up that morning it was cloudy, 55F and the wind was blowing at 20mpg. I wasn't willing to put the top up on my Valiant for the twenty mile drive and then put it down again for the show. By the time the sun peeked out and the wind subsided a bit, it was already noon.

I've seen all those B-bodies at other shows, but would have liked to see your Barracuda and that '57 Dodge.

Yes Gary,

I remember you said you had pre-registered and I made about 10 laps around looking for another A-body. I only live a few miles off the square and there was a real light mist when I left the house @ 6:45 but it turned out ok other then the fact I practically felt like it was gonna snow there for a bit. Everyone that wore shorts had deep regrets Lol
