I got approached in a Home Depot lot one day by a couple guys in a plain van. "We have an overstock of brand whatever home speakers, the boss wants us to get rid of them instead of bringing them back to the shop." I saw them there a couple other times.

Same here, Guy had the same line.

Those guys used to show up in the parking lot of my store in the 80's.

I'd walk out to see what was up, ask them if they were paying rent for the parking lot. They said no, told them GTFOOH!

Last thing any business wants is garbage being sold to potential customers in their parking lots. Potentially taking money out of my cash register.

Years ago, when I worked for a local Lennox dealer, HVAC service, two bozos approached me in a parking lot trying to sell me speakers. I was in the service van, eating lunch, in one of the malls where there's a nearby "fast food" drive up, and wasted no time telling them EXACTLY where to head and just how to do that.

There was damn near a fight. I SO much wanted to get out of that truck with that big piece of pipe!!!

Yep,
had the same thing happen to me at Speedway. Van, couple of guys trying to sell me speakers.
The best one was the meth head chick and used **** DVD's.
Nothing shady about that!

Yeah, I had a couple of guys in a van recently try to sell me a TV and stereo speakers at a convenience store. I said “No thanks” and turned to walk away when they moved closer and started pushing their sales pitch harder.

I pulled out my phone and started taking pics of them, their van, and the merchandise in the back of it (which included the license plate) while still backing away. They quickly hightailed it out of there disappearing faster than a fart in the wind.
