Just a few min. to make things right. No big gain in horsepower but it should be done.

In the other thread where you said it made you feel better......that’s where I put it....... especially for the milder builds.

My expectation would be that what you did wouldn’t show up on the dyno.
But..... there’s only one way to know for sure.

If you’re worried about flame propagation from the shrouding of the plug...... put some E3’s in it.

I guess I didn't like the looks of it how it came, but again, I know people that just bolt eddies on OOTB with no issues. Probably more of a mental game, but the way I see it, it can't hurt.

Not up to "guru" status yet except for maybe a few in my small circle, but I'll comment nonetheless. I would like to see the plug deeper into the chamber myself, but I definitely don't like seeing sharp thin threads waiting to break off. I would be looking for longer reach plugs or look into getting the plug seat cut deeper (probably both!), and maybe some chamber cuts around the valves... Thank again you for sharing, these are the types of posts that make this thread!

well, I say "the gurus", but what is a guru?? LOL. All thoughts and comments are welcome about what we are discussing. Thanks for posting yours :)

Are there any considerations with heat range of the spark plug that should be taken into account from cast iron to aluminum head?
I'm starting off with RC12YC's. I have RN12YC's in both Dusters and Ramchargers now.

I would too but the Edelbrock's look like the Speedmasters. The Trick Flows aren't exposed either but the plug cavity is machined like was done here.

The requirements of "guru" status are ever changing. As of lately....guru has been crossed with guinea pig
Sometimes a guru gets that title by how hard they beat others over the head.. LOL As for me, I know what I am. My titles include shade tree mechanic, redneck wrencher, Jerry Rigger, and any other way it can be said. LOL....

Hey, at least you got rid of a bunch of detonation causing hot edges.
That said, I'd be a little pissed off about my plugs being shrouded that deep.
But then again, if you end up loosing a race to Jason you have an excuse.:D
