Sounds like Flowmasters to me... I mean seriously.

What kind of sound are you after? Something deeper in tone than the Flos?

Like Mullinax said, they very much resemble the chambered muffler sound. Pretty hard not too when the basic construction is somewhat similar. They have more of a hissing sound to me when you hear them live.

I will know the sound i am looking for when i hear it thats all i can say..

I had a friend who had them on a Nova with a 383 stroker in it. They had a gurgling hollow drain pipe sound to them. They don't sound anything like Flowmasters in person. They are supposed to flow really good though.

If you wanna burn a hole in your pocketbook the size of the muffler itself, go for it. Total waste of money when a 29 dollar Summit aluminized welded muffler lasts just as long, flows just as good and sounds just as good. Just a fancy marketing gimmick with a catchy name to get in your bank account. But it is after all your bank account.

It does look like they are a bit more expensive than the competition.

Your post is more than likely, accurate.

I really hate muffler threads. I know people talk flow, but what it comes down to is sound.

I think those mufflers sound…….. Just ok.

Wouldn't be my first choice.

Have a set on a blown bb, sound completely different than flowmasters but they do have an oval pipe design for low clearance. Didn't increase performance noticeably from my flowmasters but i do like the mufflers. Hope this helps.

I am considering Spin Tech XL 3000 series mufflers on my Dart (340 stock motor) with an "x" pipe.
I must say I did not particularly care for the sound on the First vid by the OP of the green Dart in the garage.
Anyone else with an opinion on the spin tech sound?
I hate the drone from the flowmasters I have now.

They sure have an interesting design. I looked at them for a few hours one day on the web. They sound neat. It also looks like an economical way to create chambers that are conk shell design. I have no quality info to add. Wonder if anyone has done a direct switch dyno test..

yep it is my money and Caterpillar pays me very well. i do like the sound of the 2sd vid it does sound very good. but i think i am going to go with some. see link below. i have heard them on a car down in FL last year on vaction .they sounded damn good. but its not a done deal at this time . i am open and still looking for a good sounding mufflers..

I got a set of 3 inch older models. Got them cheap at a swap meet and ran them behind a 451 with about 4 feet of exhaust. Sounds deep and solid, but doesnt have the resonance of flowmasters that gets on everyones nerves after about 20 miles. Mine weigh about 5 lbs a piece and are about as big as a boot box. You cant get that sound from lightweight turbos.

I was looking at the Spin Tech's myself, but after listening to them on You Tube I'm not in love with the sound. I did check out the Edelbrock SDT mufflers and I think they sound awsome, check em out.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BctTd6cEIQg"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BctTd6cEIQg[/ame]
