Splash Shield Question

My 71 Dart project has been in a front end mishap. It has one metal and one plastic splash Shield in front of the door hinge area. Because I am unnecessarily critical, I want them both to be the same and the correct style. Which style is the right one and what year did they make the conversion so I know what to look for? Thanks I'm advance!

Not sure 71, my 74 are both plastic. The IPB will have it for sure.

I have seen plastic in a 69 Valiant, but not 100% sure it was original. My 69 Dart has metal ones and my 73 Dart Sport had plastic.
I prefer metal, but plastic makes sense. For your car, I would say metal. Just my opinion.

The fronts behind the struts are plastic. The drivers side has a metal one on the back of the rail if it was automatic, manuals didn't have that one
