As some of you might gather from my recent posts I"m looking at getting some or all of the cylinders sleeved in one of my 340's

Can anyone recommend a machinist/engine builder who is in the Spokane area or near by that can do a good job on sleeving at a reasonable price.

Thanks

I Just checked my email and one of the shops I contacted in Spokane replied with at quote to sleeve all eight cylinders and then after they are installed hone and deck milled square to the mainline for $790.

Just a comparison the Canadian Prices for this job are $125 per hole, plus $40 per sleeve = $1320 and that doesn't include the hone and decking......I think we are getting ripped off in Canada.

I have emailed a few other shops in Spokane to see where the prices fall.

Not really in a hurry, will be quite a while before the car is on the road, probably a couple years, but I just got these 340's and I'm trying to get a plan of action on how to save them.

Is there no one who can recommend a builder/machinist that does good engine work in the Northern Eastern Washington/ North Western Idaho area?

Thanks

I checked with a guy that I know that worked for Federal Mogul for years, and builds performance engines in the area. He recommended a place called Precision Balancing. It's owned by someone named Kevin, and the number is 509-926-4836.

I just looked online, and the number is listed differently than I was told.

Precision Balancing
20702 E Wellesley Ave Otis Orchards, WA 99027
(509) 926-4832

You were referred by Jerry Foisey.
