sport mirror question

are the sport mirrors for abodies EXACTLY the same or is the passenger one a little more pointed?
 
I have a chrome right sport (bullet shape) mirror here but no left to compare it to. :(
I know the round (glass in bowl) mirrors are different right and left. The outer side of the bowl is deeper on the right. Bullet shaped sport right bowl maybe be deeper as well. Just dunno
 
They are different. I have two sets. The first set I got I thought they were a mismatched pair. When I got the second set same thing....
 
that's strange, I let a set go by me for cheap 'cause I thought they were mismatched.... Damn....
 
The right side glass needs to pivot farther than the left one., yet it cant stick out beyond the outer side of the bowl or air behind it would move it. The method to the madness. LoL
 
Right, the housing has to wrap around farther because the mirror glass has to be at a sharper angle to the driver. If it weren't that way, the mirror would stick out of the housing.
 
those guys at chrysler are a bunch of fart smellas.. and I thought it was just madness... :lol: looks good on paper but strange when staring at a pair.. of mirrors
 
So brain teeser for you ... If I have a right side mirror that is not deeper but shaped exactly the same as a left, how can that be ?
 
ooo ooooo I know... some one took a driver side mirror and put a passenger side base on it ....
 
1 - You're standing at the front of the car
2 - You're looking at the mirror in a mirror
3 - You differentiate left and right as well as my wife

It came from a right hand drive car. Has short remote cable too.
I still dont know if there was a deep bowl left mirror for those.
