Spotted these wheels on a Mustang- what are they? Could they work on an A-Body?

As many of you guys have noticed, 15" tire choices are severely limited and to many of us, wheels in more modern sizes while providing a vast array of tire choices, just don't capture the look that some of us prefer on older body styles.

I just spotted this picture of a '68 Mustang with wheels that may be 16" or 17" (which of course have 5x4.5" bolt pattern) that still seem to capture the right look for a 60s car...ad maybe a 70s car too.

Can anyone identify them?

I'm not sure they would suit my big bumper Dart but they might be perfection for some of you Barracuda guys...

Don't bother with 16". There are virtually no tires (in sizes you'd want) available. It seems like an orphaned size, except for on trucks.

I went with 16's and didn't have any problems finding the tire sizes - style I wanted

Problem i found was they were the same price or more than 17". 15" tire selection is poor and most are decade old designs and compounds.
 
Torque thrust D, and that's the Bullitt Mustang if I'm not mistaken.
 
I know a member that has a Demon with wheels like that (as far as I can tell)
That car has 18's on the back and 17 on the front if I remember, and they look really good.
I also remember the owner said they were really reasonable cost wise.
 
Either look up Mustang wheels or Bullit wheels. They're are so many out there it's ridiculous. American Racing also has some variances of it (some don't look as great as others). Almost all are 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern and they come in a variety of widths and offsets.

The fronts are generally going to want a higher offset (+25 to +32ish mm depending on your brake package) and the rear can really vary depending on if you have an 8 1/4, A-body 8 3/4, B-Body 8 3/4, drum/discs, etc.?

My rule of thumb, make an adjustable wheel fixture or find a wheel with approximately a similar tire size and use the following site. I simply got a piece of cardboard, cut it into the diameter I wanted, taped a piece of cardboard to the width I wanted, fit it in the wheel well till everything fit nicely, and measured where everything was ON BOTH SIDES! Factory tolerances can move the rear end side to side under the car. My rear end was about .5" shifted to the passenger side of the vehicle.

Similar wheel mocked up on the back of my Dart. This was OE off of a 2002 Mustang, I believe. 17 x 8 with 275/40/18 tires. I don't recommend that wide of a tire on that short of a wheel. I'd probably run that tire on a 9" wheel, but it may have trouble clearing.

Could be American five spoke ( several versions available nowadays, or Vintage Wheel(?) Those center caps, looks like newer updated stuff..
