I am building a 74 duster and I installed autometer gauges into dash, I have the voltmeter, fuel gauge, and tach wired into big black wire on steering column. When I start the car, the starter stays engauged. I could turn switch off and remove key, and it may stop or it may keep spinning. I am confused about this one, Is my switch going bad or have I done an Oopps in wiring.

I cant diagnose the wiring you've done. I can tell you that for any brand of vehicle, when all is OEM, a running starter issue is most often a fault right at or inside the starter. Second most common is a bad starter relay or solenoid.

If you have a voltmeter you can measure the voltage across the relay coil. If the voltage goes to zero when the key is released, then the contacts are sticking at the relay or starter solenoid. It is possible to check those with meter too.
