starter to battery wiring

Whats the difference in the 68-69 small block battery to starter wiring compared to big block? Are they just a different length? If so, which one is longer? thanks for any info on this. I am changing my car from small to big block, and don't want to buy something I don't need!!!

I've never had a need to change the starter wiring on small to big block swaps. In fact if you have a mini starter already you can just re-use it.

I expect the tranny would be in about the same place. The Big Block starter might sit 2" lower, but the cable distance (hypotenuse) would hardly change. In my 65 SB, I used the starter cable that was on the mini-starter I took from a Dodge truck. It was longer than required, so I just S'ed it under the battery.
