Starting Production date of the Barracuda

Hi. I've read that the Barracuda started production on April 1st 1964. In one book I saw April 2nd. Yet I've heard a few people say that they've had '63s. Can any one shed some light on this?

No barracuda in 63, that's for sure!!

August 1 1963 is the first day of the production for the 64 model year. And as far as I know, and have read, April 1st 1964 was the first day of Barracuda production with the Mustang coming out 2 weeks later.
