Hi guys this is my first post on here. I've got a 70 swinger slant 6 car auto on the column manual steering car. I have a 74 duster v8 k-frame PS that I'm going to swap on it. I would prefer to use a on floor shift column but the one I have is for manual steering box out of a 72 swinger. I know there is a difference in lengths between manual and PS boxes. Can I go ahead and swap shafts out of columns and put the longer ps shaft into the manual box column? any help much appreciated? It will be mainly a cruiser with little strip action. 400-450 hp 360. Maybe a manual steering wouldn't be so bad for a cruiser and I wouldn't have to change anything? Also I scored big with the 72 swinger parts car. 8 3/4 and 4 speed out of 68 dart were in it. 200 for the whole car!

yes...the shafts can be swapped out...I have done several...

Some people have just pulled the shaft out some. It is made to telescope a bit.....
