Why are some of the outer tubes (with the slots in them) smooth, and some are wavy? Is it that one fits power-steering cars and one does not, or one fits floor shift cars, and one does not? or....
I've always been curious since I had to piece my floor shift column out of a floor shift and column shift pair.
