Steering Column Swap Question?

I have a 76 Duster that has a Floor-shift Steering Column that I would like to Swap into my 73 Duster that currently has a Column Shift Column. Both columns are for power steering cars.

I noticed several sites online that sold rebuilt steering columns listed the columns as 71-73 and then 74-76. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a 71-73 vs a 74-76 and are they interchangeable?

the 74-76 columns use two bolts and the 71-73 use three bolts to bolt it on the car. The 71-73 uses a plate which is bolted to the column by four bolts. I believe the bracket on the later ones are spot welded on. i can take a few pics if you'd like
