steering column

my 70 swinger has an electrical issue...previous owner ran the CD player through the column so theres a short. guys at my local Big O are workin on it but if they cant fix it ill need a new black steering column with column shifter. needs to obviouslty be in good working condition and be black! thanks!

just buy a new ign switch and turn signal switch. that will replace all the wires going down the column, then just paint what ya have now.

DITTO. NO REASON TO REPLACE THE COLUMN, UNLESS IT CAUGHT ON FIRE & MELTED. THERES ONLY TWO HARNESSES IN IT, TURN SIGNAL & IGNITION.
MAKES YOU WONDER WHO IS WORKING ON IT.

a OEM MP ignition switch , new in box bought in 70s

If it comes to that, I have a black power column out of a '71 Duster. Excellent condition. $135.00 shipped to CA. Good luck with the short.
