Has anyone used Quality Restorations in San Diego for restoring a steering wheel? My black sport wheel is cracked in numerous places, so thinking of changing it to a woodgrain. Website says they completely remove the old plastic and recast the wheel so I could leave black or go wood grain.

Looking for recommendations to get this done this winter before 2016 cruising season comes around in the upper Midwest.

Thanks FABO.

Thanks Steve.

I called Quality Restorations, and was quoted $1,000 to redo my black wheel. I found Gary's Steering Wheel Restoration in one of your links, and he looks to be less than half that but it's an entirely different process. Quality completely removes the plastic and recasts the entire wheel in color with a mold, so they are not filling in and painting the old wheel.

That being said, not sure I can justify the dollars on a non-concourse car.

Kinda what I was thinking.
If I completely FUBAR it, I can always send off to the professionals and get it fixed.
