I'm thinking about going to a DPer from my 3310, my 1st. choice was a standard 750dp., but i've been told for a mild combo like mine, i'd be better off with a 650dp because of my stall/gears & Dur. @50, i don't want to hurt my 60ft. any, but don't want to sacrifice mid-top-end either, what would you guys pick, i know i'll here a few Eddy choices, but i would like to keep it Holley. Heres the combo again.

71 Dart, MS & brakes, no AC.
360 magnum short block (stock, 9.1)
RHS heads
.477/.477, .218/.218 @50 112 with 1.6 rockers.
Crosswind RPM, MSD dist., Mallory 6AL
Summit headers& turbos, 2.1/4" exhaust
904 with cheetah VB & PTC 11" 2800 stall
3.73 gears, 255/60/15 MT DRs.

Primarily a street car. I could see where a 650dp would work better on the 60ft., but would it be compratible to the top end of a 3310?

I like the 750 d/p carb. You should have enough engine to use it. It will work with any engine upgrades.

there is your answer 8)

LOL @496. The top end diff. would be small IMO. 10 HP. It's not a whole-lotta engine. I see a whole lotta stall converter with a small cam and some decent gear on a tall-ish tire. I bet that launch's preety good.

The best thing about a DP is your in control. You can use and get away with a 750 if your foot control is good and you can feel or know where the secondaries are opening and if it is a good time to do so.

Once your running down the track, it's just a wide open freeennzy at that point.

Thanks Rumble, i like your input on stuff, your right, it 60fts. pretty good (when it hooks), & thats "only" at the track, so you think a 750dp. would be fine then over a smaller one?

750
You have rhs heads that flow great and a 360 in a dart.(a -body = light weight)
Sometimes a smaller carb helps, if you don't have the best combination of parts ,but in your case you have a great combo.
I run my 750 dp on my 318 because that"s what i had on the shelf and since it's in my cuda thats light weight, it works just fine.
If you know how to adjust a 750, it can almost run on anything with out any problems. In fact it run's great. :glasses8:

I'm only shifting at 5000, thats where it really stops making power.

JoeDust,

What does that thing 60' and ET/MPH?? Seems like a great combo!

On another note, post a pic so I can see what those 255/60/15's look like, please.

Thanks!

I have another thread in this section titled "Track results", shows a pic of the car & time slips.

700 dp or 750, but really with that lil @.050/112cl the 700cfm dp would be right between best response and top end hp.

BUT you could get the holley race chokeless annular 750 dp'R and then you would be set.
I think they cost about $470.00'ish

I've been talking to several carb builders, along with BG/AED & others, most said the 650dp, BG said the 750 Annular speed demon VS., AED said 750dp (dog-leg), he wouldn't run anything VS for performance orientated, I had 2 say the 3310 would foot the bill fine (one of them was Jesse from Biggs), especially sence i already have it, changing carbs at this point might not yeild much gain but cost a few bucks, i guess i'm right there with the 750 cfm range (no need going bigger), going to a DPer in a 750 might hurt 60ft. times with my gear/converter but run a bit stronger up top, going smaller might help the 60ft. times, but loss up top. So i ordered a few little things for the 3310 from a buddy of mine, rear MB, quik change top/springs, a few air bleeds.
